Reflection and Focus
In order to improve in my "why did Dredd fail at the box office" essay I need to add a lot more detail in my work in the Dredd half of the essay. I need to expand on my points with more evidence to get the marks needed. I need to work on terminology and vocabulary and take more care in how I structure my work to get into the next grad boundaries.

Batman
History - In early 1939, the success of superman in action comics prompted editors at the comic book division of National Publications (the future DC Comics) to request more superheroes for its titles. In response, Bob Kane created "the Bat-Man."
Publisher - They were produced by a company called DC Comics.
Film of comic - The fictional character Batman has featured in films from the 1940s up untill 2012 and it is most likely more Batman films will be made in the future.
Other media forms - It has various soundracks for the different movies over the years. It also has vidoe games.
Ironman
History - In 1963, Lee had been toying with the idea of a businessman superhero and he appeared in a comic book called tales of suspense.
Publisher - It was only untill 1968 that the first comic book of Ironman was actually published.
Film of comic - It was only in 2008 that it became a film.
Other media forms - It has other media links such as being in video games.
Captain America
History - Captain America is an American fictional character, a Superhero who appears in Comic books published by Marvel comics. He first appeared in 1941.
Publisher - Captain America comics were published by Marvel comics.
Film of comic - The First Avenger premiered in Hollywood on July 19, 2011, and was released in the United States on July 22, 2011. The film became a critical and commercial success, grossing a total of $368.6 million worldwide. The Blu-ray and DVD were released on October 25, 2011. A sequel titled Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set for release in 2014.
Other media forms - There is also a soundtrack along with the movie and many action figures were made.

History - He first appeared in comics in 1940 and a TV series was made in the 90s followed by a film shortly after.
Publisher - It was made by DC comics and created by Gardener Fox and Harry Lampert.
Film of comic - There was a film supposed to be released in 2004 but it didn't happen and then it has been on and off whether to produce the film but it has been reported that the film was rumored to be released in 2016 but it has not been announced.
Other media forms - There is also a soundtrack and many action figures were made.
Green Lantern
History - The first appearence of Green Lantern was in 1940 in comics.
Publisher - The publisher was DC comics.
Film of comic - The film first entered development in 1997 and went through various incarnations until Greg Berlanti was hired to write and direct in October 2007. Martin Campbell was brought on board in February 2009 after Berlanti was forced to vacate the director's position. Most of the live-action actors were cast between July 2009 and February 2010 and filming took place from March 2010 to August 2010 in Louisiana. The film was converted to 3D in post-production. Green Lantern was released on June 17, 2011. The film received generally unfavourable reviews and was criticized for the acting performances and story; however, the movie was praised for the visual effects, although many found that the over-use of CGI, specifically the digital suits, were problematic.
